Yes I am a Women

You know when I was young girl I loved to sing...
I enjoy dancing
I scribbled poems...
I could see my reflection of happiness on my parents faces
But what happened next ?
What else .... I got married.

That's the story of every common girl in India.
The little girl grew up to be a bride, the groom being her best companion. Eventually marriage gave her fulfillment , she became a complete house wife and family became her main priority. Her family emerged to be her greatest responsibility. She devoted herself in proper upbringing of her child and taking care of other family members.

Then she realized, her talent .... her hidden talent are slowly dying and thus the journey of "Swayam Siddha" - A cultural group of married women started by Sonali Chakraborty, added wings to new dreams, creating new world and reaching a new horizon. Now we feel self-sufficient, a woman of fulfillment, dignity and honor.

As the journey continued the desire of excellence motivated the group of women to try different cultural activities, Light & Sound shows, Musical Nites, Plays, Street Dramas (Nukkad Natak ) , Theme fashion shows and many more.

Now we realize that we are not so called " better halves" to compliment of husbands, but we are the complete ones in our effort and achievements and we are the ones who nurture life and created the whole world.

And now...
Our journey does not stop performing only cultural activities or giving public performances. The fund that we raise through such activities, we donate to uplift the condition of the old, helpless & disable people around us in the society. That's how the journey of these oridnary housewives transcends and becomes extra-ordinary. here lies the fulfillment of "Swayam Siddha".Now we are a family of 200+ members.
